To-The-Point

Real chefs understand that efficiency and cost matter a great deal. Solid to-the-point learning to tackle exactly what you or your employees need to learn in order to improve chocolate skills.

Let’s not waste either of our time or money. My tutoring will target exactly what you need in the most efficient manner.

Cost

Speaking of to-the-point: cost.

A flat rate of $150 per hour for off-site tutoring with a min. of 2 hours.

Does not include travel cost (depending on where you are)

There is an additional cost if you require a kitchen as well.

+ Are you a consultant?

I guess you could consider this consulting if you own a business. But this is also great for anyone who wishes to learn chocolate skills. Whether you own a business with a store-front, working at markets, or simply working out of your home.

I call it tutoring because consultants often don't have a background in professional kitchen training, or offer outrages rates. My rates are fair and my teaching offers you the solid basics of working with chocolate

+ What do you teach/cover in your tutoring?

The list is endless, but can include tempering (seed method or table/marble method), ganaches, pouring and molding, bonbon shells, truffle shells, figurines, enrobbing, and so forth.

Perhaps you have to tackle fundamentals in chocolate, develop new recipes or products, or wish to tackle something new but not sure how to approach it. If you're unsure, simply contact me and ask.

+ Where can you travel?

The Vancouver area including North Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, Richmond, New Westminster, Coquitlam, and so forth. If you are further away and wish to perhaps have a full day of tutoring, that may be possible. Simply reach out and ask!

+ Will you help me prepare for the tutoring?

Of course. I will help you prepare for the task at hand and let you know of what you will need (and give you time to purchse it if need be).

+ Do you bring ingredients?

Generally speaking, no. I can help you locate certain ingredients either in-person or online, but if you're unable to for some reason, simply ask me and I can see what I can do.
