This is a unique gift box, great for those with an adventurous palate. Products from relatively new/younger established chocolate makers. Many of these bars veer away from the more standard/expected flavours and/or textures of the more common craft bean-to-bar chocolate out there today. Here at The Science Of Chocolate, I focus on small more obscure unique makers from around the world. Less known, but by no means less wonderful than the more common brands you see today in the bean-to-bar world.

The bars will be from the makers listed, but may not be exactly the bars shown. You may request a specific bar in the “notes” section at checkout, but I can’t guarantee I can fulfill that. These kits are for those with a little flexibility and an open mind to trying chocolate with unique styles, flavour profiles, and approaches to chocolate.

The prices for other gift sets include the cost of the Beautiful Bundle (all the trimmings in your box aside from the bars). Here however, you are only paying for the bars themselves, and no extra for the Beautiful Bundle. Beautified for you, for free!

This gift box includes:

1. Six Chocolates including:

   • 1 of Ruvido’s (Italy) single-origin dark chocolate bars

     • Ruvido bars are intentionally very coarse, and with lots of “pow” in regards to flavour

   • 1 of Kakoa’s (Mexico) single-origin dark chocolate bars

     • All of Kakoa’s bars use cacao from different farms in the Chiapas region of Mexico. Each bar has a unique and distinct profile. Bars are creamy but not super smooth.

   • 1 of Harvest’s (USA) single-origin snacking chocolate

     • See if your bias for stylized packaging can be put aside. These are fine single-origin chocolate, but meant to be enjoyed in a more casual (yet no less respectful) way.

   • 1 of Kairi’s (Trinidad) single-origin 70% or 80%

     • The owners and their workers grow their own cacao in Trinidad, harvest, roast, and make their own chocolate. Single Estate at it’s best.

   • 1 of Carobeans’ (USA) flavoured dark chocolate bars

     • Carobeans does a beautiful job of creating flavoured bars that go beyond what you normally encounter.

   • 1 of ShawZ (Canada) vegan white or flavoured white bars

     • Not your average white chocolate. Just the right amount of sweetness, plenty of pure cocoa butter, and oats instead of dairy.

   2. Beautified Bundle - The products will come in a black box with golden yellow sleeve and include tissue paper, a flavour wheel/poem keepsake, tasting guide, and little paper flowers. All at no extra cost to you.

Ingredients

No bars in this gift box will contain nuts, gluten, dairy, or alcohol. If you have other dietary requests or questions, be sure to leave it in the notes section when you checkout.
