SOC Roman Dates Camel Milk Chocolate Dragée

SOC Roman Dates Camel Milk Chocolate Dragée
When in Rome, do as the Romans do. A saying that encourages visitors to be considerate of local customs and culture. Well, did you know that in Roman times, walnut stuffed dates seasoned with black pepper were a popular treat. Camels were also present in Italy during the Roman Empire but also long before, even in Sicily.
These dragee are an homage to the sweet and savoury roman dates, and blanketed in a 63% camel milk chocolate I made using Colombian cocoa beans. There is no salt added, but the salty touch comes from the camel milk itself.
A sweet and salty treat with a little warm spicy ending.
Ingredients: Dates, Walnuts, Sugar, Black Pepper, Camel Milk Chocolate (Cocoa Beans, Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Camel Milk Powder), Cocoa Powder.
Contains tree nuts.
